HLS / DASH CDN delivery, or bring your own CDN

For adaptive HLS / DASH we package once and then hand the streams over in whichever way fits your platform: served from our own 195-PoP network, or pulled from our origin by the CDN you already pay for. The manifests, the DRM and the DVR window are identical either way.

Every edge homes to a core site

Packaging, encryption and recording happen at the core sites. Edges cache and serve; if one drops, its traffic moves to the next-closest core rather than to a single central hub.

  • Anycast entry, per-segment origin shielding
  • Two cores per channel, hitless failover
  • Per-PoP status visible in the looking glass

Core sites, where capture, transcoding, packaging and recording happen, are marked. Everything else caches and serves and homes to its nearest core.

TWO WAYS TO DELIVER

OPTION A

Our CDN

We serve the streams to your viewers. Nothing to configure beyond the player: you embed the manifest URL we issue at checkout.

  • 195 points of presence, 6 of them core sites
  • CMAF/HLS and MPEG-DASH served from the edge nearest the viewer
  • Egress metered at EUR 0.09 per GB, with no commitment and no minimum
  • MultiDRM licence server in the same path as the manifest
  • Cloud DVR, replay and restart served from the same URL space
  • Per-channel delivery reporting in the customer portal
EUR 200 / channel / month + EUR 0.09 per GB of egress
OPTION B

Your CDN

Keep your existing CDN and commercial terms. You point it at our origin; we document the cache behaviour and shield the origin so each segment is pulled once.

  • Pull from our origin over HTTPS with your own CDN in front
  • Signed URLs or token auth on the origin, your keys
  • Cache-Control and segment naming documented for your config
  • Origin shielding so your CDN pulls once per segment
  • Your CDN contract, your egress bill, your reporting
  • Same manifests, same DRM, same DVR window
EUR 200 / channel / month, no egress charge from us
